Madeira, Ohio

The 12,500 SF, 1.5 million dollar new building, sited on a significant corner in an historic area in Madeira, Ohio, blends beautifully with the existing architecture of the town while asserting itself as a prominent element within the city. PFB provided a complete programming, architectural, and interior design service package for the new municipal building, including council chambers, police department, and administrative offices. PFB also provided coordinated demolition work, a phased construction process, and construction administration.

The Madeira Municipal Building design successfully solved former traffic and flow problems between departments. The Police Department has an additional separate entrance for direct access to avoid any potential conflict with city workers and council chambers.

The Madeira Municipal Building was designed with its impressive clock tower anchoring the corner of Miami and Euclid Avenues. This building symbolizes a gateway to the Madeira Business District and a focal point for community development. In addition to government meeting chambers, offices, and police headquarters, the Madeira Municipal Facility also includes interior and exterior public gathering spaces for the use of community organizations and events.
